What it is

A living African safari, on your desktop

Echoes of the Baobab Circuit is a hand-built 16-bit world that runs as a true animated wallpaper behind your icons. In attract mode it rides the ranger through six scored stages of the bush, the art moving to the music. Click in with Ctrl+Alt+P and it becomes a playable game — run, jump, hold Z to SPOT and track hidden animals, and catch the poachers circling the herd, with the number keys 1–6 to jump straight to any stage. It's far more than a static wildlife wallpaper or a looping video: it's a desktop you can actually play.

Six stages

Where the circuit takes you

Stage 1

The Thorn Thickets

The rhino hides where the thorns grow thick — hold SPOT to part the grass and reveal it.

Stage 2

The Elephant Pools

The herd drinks at the water while the hunters circle — net the poachers before they strike.

Stage 3

The Cheetah Run

Race the fastest cat on the plain and keep her flat-out pace across the open grass.

Stage 4

The Crocodile Bend

Eyes in the sky over the river — SPOT the crocs and hippos surfacing from the chopper.

Stage 5

The Lion Kopje

You woke the pride — run for the truck as the lions close in on the rocks.

Stage 6

The Leopard's Treeline

She watches from the branches and drops without warning — read the lanes and dodge the pounce.

Why it's different

Not a picture. A world.

Which versions of Windows does it support?
Echoes of the Baobab Circuit runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 through the free SamuelWize Wallpapers app, with multi-monitor support so it can run on one screen while another shows a different pack.
How much does it cost?
A one-time £2.99 through Lemon Squeezy. You get a license key by email that unlocks the pack on up to 5 devices — no subscription, no expiry.
Will it slow down my PC?
It's frame-capped to stay light on the GPU and automatically pauses when you open a fullscreen app or game, so it never competes with what you're actually doing.
